Charley Valera is an award-winning author, filmmaker, and public speaker dedicated to preserving the stories of America’s Greatest Generation.
His work is the culmination of more than a decade spent researching, interviewing, and documenting the experiences of 18 World War II veterans representing every branch of the U.S. military and both the European and Pacific theaters. Through their own words, these remarkable men share firsthand accounts of courage, sacrifice, and resilience—stories that might otherwise have been lost forever.
When available, Charley personally introduces each screening and remains afterward for an engaging audience discussion and Q&A. Guests are invited to ask questions about the veterans featured in the film, hear additional stories that didn’t make it into the documentary, and gain insight into the journey of preserving these extraordinary firsthand accounts.
